Why your anxiety isn’t ‘all in your head’ and what your body is actually trying to tell you

If you've ever been told to "just relax," "stop overthinking," or "think positive" when you're in the grip of anxiety, you'll know how utterly unhelpful that advice feels. Not because the people saying it don't care. But because anxiety isn't a thinking problem. It's a body problem. And until we understand that we keep trying to fix it with the wrong tools.
